Color

Color that starts with a conversation

Root color, all-over color, highlights, gray blending and gloss. We start with a short talk about your hair history and what you would like.

Results vary with your starting shade and hair history, so we tell you what is realistic, and how long it will take, before the brush comes out. Some color calls for a patch test first, following the maker's directions.

Good to know

  • A color consultation comes first for new color clients

  • A deposit holds the longer services and goes toward them

  • What sets the price: length, the steps involved, the products and your stylist's level

About color

How often should I come back for root color?

Most people come back every four to six weeks. We will suggest a schedule at your consultation.

Do I need a patch test?

Some color products call for one before your first visit, following the maker's directions. We tell you when you book. If you have ever reacted to a hair product, say so first.

Can my teenager get color?

Color is for ages 14 and up, with a parent's okay and a patch test where the maker calls for one.
